For the upcoming season, we have submitted our reopening plan and have been accepted by the CDC and DHS to operate our lessons at NCDA and The Edge 18. That said, we have adjusted accommodations to meet the regulations to ensure the safety of our staff and families. NCDA is a family owned and run company and we share your concerns to keep all of our dance family safe. Accordingly, we introduce to you our new Safe and Sound program!
- All NCDA/EDGE staff will wear mandated face coverings
- Staff washes hands or sanitizes their hands regularly
- Staff disinfects often touched surfaces
- Waiting area seating has been removed to reduce the spread. 6ft markings will be visibly placed on the floor to help with social distancing
- Temperatures will be taken of each Staff member before entering facility. Staff will stay home when or possibly sick.
- Staff works as socially distant as possible
- NCDA/The EDGE will follow all industry-specific rules
- Hand sanitizer will be available to all customers
- All lessons are scheduled with a 10 min window, all the while, alternating each studio’s class times. This will allow our safe and sound program to go into effect by sanitizing barres, doorknobs, and any other frequently used surfaces…. Again, this time will also reduce the amount of people in the waiting areas. All children must be dropped off at the front door and picked up at the back door.
- Our Studio will present clear markings for social distance dance areas. The dancer will have an assigned area each week marked at the barre and/or center floor. They will also have a designated area for their belongings.
- Dancers of age are required to wear face coverings when entering and exiting the studio. They may take off the mask when exercise exuberate movements.
- Face coverings are required when utilizing restrooms.
- Before entering the studio, Dancers will have their temp taken with a non-touch thermometer. Any person with any sickness feelings or high temp will need to take classes via zoom that week and welcome to return when symptoms subside.
- Our Class sizes are typically smaller to ensure quality instruction is provided. We will implement 5 -10 students per class. We can not go over this number to follow our reopening plans.
- Students per class
- Mom and Me- 5 in classroom
- Pre-Kin I-II 6 to 8 in classroom
- Kin I and up – 10 in classroom
- Classes via Zoom or online are available for all lessons. An additional 10 students per class via online.
- Students per class
- While we are still in phase II, all students under age 4 (as of Aug 31st, 2020) will have classes conducted via Online Classes. Our suggestion is to register for the class ahead of time as when Phase III is available the classes will be held in the studio and classes will fill quickly.
- When registering, a COVID-19 release must be signed to participate in lessons.
- Although we have made these arrangements to keep our families safe, please note this is an ever so changing situation and we will adhere to the proper procedures to ensure safety. There are guidelines and subject to change at any time.
Thank you very much for trusting us with your children. We look forward to starting off a great new season this fall and coming back stronger than before!!!!
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
Thank you,
NCDMA Staff
